세상을 창조한 시대에, 세계가 아직도 어린 나이에 있었다. 그때는 착하고 따뜻한 분이 있어 불어났는데 이름은 워갈(Waugal)이었다. 워갈은 모든 동물들에게 사랑을 느꼈고 도와주고 싶었다.
워갈과 가장 친한 친구는 WALLABY(카ンガ루루 동물이지만 WALLABY라고 명명했습니다.) 이름은 쿠두자(Kudjala)였다. 그들은 유칼립투스 나무 아래서 뛰놀고, 물이 뚝뚝 떨어지는 지름길에 헤엄치며 즐거웠다.
그러던 어느 날, 워갈은 동물들의 어머니가 어려움을 겪는 것을 보았다. 작은 조예(joey)가 한쪽 다리에서 밴다고 싶어 나와서 겁이 났다. 그 조예의 이름은 무그루라우윅(Mungurrawuy), 어머니가 돌아오자마자 도망가지 않게 해야 할뿐이었다.
워갈은 부드러운 바람을 보내려는 대신 조물주(창조신인)을 불렀다. 조물주는 별에 살고 있었는데, 워갈이 부르자 그곳에서 내려온 바람으로 조예를 집어삼켰다. 무그루라우윅 어머니가 조예를 찾았지만 너무 크다고 했다.
워갈은 그 조물주에게 도움을 청한 것을 듣고, 별에서 내려오라고 시켰다.
