In a small village nestled in the mountains of ancient China, there lived a kind-hearted goddess named Chang'e. She was known for her gentle spirit and love for nature. One day, while out picking flowers with her companion Hou Yi, they came across a beautiful rabbit named Ji Jia. He was unlike any other creature, for he possessed the power to create powerful medicine from the rarest plants.

Hou Yi, being a skilled archer, was impressed by Ji Jia's unique abilities and decided to take him under his wing. Together, they traveled the land, collecting precious herbs and experimenting with their properties. As time passed, Hou Yi grew fond of Ji Jia and began to rely on him for guidance in his quest for immortality.

However, a severe drought struck the land, causing crops to wither and animals to suffer. The villagers, desperate for relief, turned to Hou Yi for help. He sought Chang'e's counsel, but she revealed that she had also been afflicted by the drought. In her distress, she began to lose her connection to the moon.

One evening, as Ji Jia hopped alongside Chang'e through the desolate landscape, he stumbled upon a hidden cave filled with glowing stones and shimmering crystals. Inspired by his quick thinking, Chang'e realized that these rare minerals could be used to create an antidote for the drought-stricken land. Together, they worked tirelessly under the light of the full moon, infusing the soil with nourishing essence.

As the villagers watched in amazement, their crops began to flourish once more, and the animals rejoiced in renewed health. With gratitude, Hou Yi praised Chang'e's ingenuity and Ji Jia's unwavering spirit. In recognition of their dedication, the Jade Emperor appointed Ji Jia as the sacred guardian of the moon, where he continues to tend the glowing stones and ensure the balance between earth and sky.

From that day forward, whenever a lunar eclipse occurs, it is said that Chang'e shares a secret with her faithful companion Ji Jia. Together, they harmonize the celestial rhythms, preserving harmony on our planet and reminding us of the power of unity and cooperation in times of need.
