The Little Cloud That Could

A long time ago, when the world was still young, there lived a little cloud named Wanona. Wanona loved to play with her friends, watching over the people and animals below.

One day, while floating above the prairie, Wanona saw a small rabbit named Takoda struggling to find food for his family. The dry earth had no water, and the plants were withered. Wanona felt sorry for Takoda and decided to help.

Wanona floated closer to the ground, trying her best to bring rain. But every time she thought she was about to release a drop of water, the wind would blow strong and scatter her away. The people laughed at little Wanona, saying, "What can you do? You're just a tiny cloud!"

But Wanona didn't give up. She practiced every day, flying higher and higher until she could hold more water inside her soft body. Takoda watched from below, and his eyes grew wide with hope.

Just when it seemed like the sun would shine forever, Wanona spread out her biggest wings yet! The wind howled louder than ever before, but Wanona stood firm, holding onto every last drop of water within her. And then...

A tiny droplet fell to the earth, followed by another and another. Takoda's eyes sparkled as he watched his plants begin to grow again. The people below rejoiced, dancing with happiness.

Wanona continued to pour out her kindness, filling the parched earth with life-giving water. As the rain grew stronger, the animals returned, and the prairie came alive once more. Takoda thanked Wanona from the heart, saying, "Your spirit is as strong as a mighty eagle's wings! You reminded me that even when things seem impossible, we must keep trying."

Wanona smiled, feeling happy that she could help her friends in need. From that day forward, the little cloud and the rabbit became the best of friends, playing together under the wide open sky.

The people looked up at Wanona with new respect, knowing that even the smallest among them can make a big difference when they persevere and are kind to others. And so, the world continued to grow and thrive, thanks to the little cloud's unwavering spirit.
