Tortoise Brings the Sun to Earth

In the beginning, when the world was still young, Nyame's sun hid behind a great mountain, refusing to shine its light on Earth. The people and animals lived in darkness, struggling to find their way through the shadows.

Kofi, the clever Tortoise, loved to explore and learn new things. He heard about the hidden sun from his wise grandmother, Akua. She told him that Nyame's sun was unhappy because it had been mistreated by the greedy humans. They had forgotten to thank the sun for its warmth and light every day.
