The Weaver Who Cheated the Sun

"There was a Weaver named Rohini who lived in a small village near the sacred Ganges River. She was very skilled and made beautiful saris with intricate patterns. The villagers loved her work, but Rohini became greedy and thought, 'Why not make even more money?'

She decided to cheat the Sun God by weaving a magical sari that would shine like the sun itself. If anyone wore this sari, they would be as radiant as the sun. Rohini worked day and night, using all her magic tricks to weave the enchanted fabric.

But when she finished, a wise old man warned her, 'Rohini, you have cheated the Sun God. He will not be pleased.' Rohini laughed and said, 'What harm can he do? I'll just sell this sari and become rich.'

The next day, the Sun God appeared to Rohini in a vision and said, 'You have taken my light without permission. You must return it to me.' Rohini was terrified and promised to return the magic to the sun.

She went back to her loom and undid all her tricks. Slowly but surely, the sari lost its shine, and Rohini's work became ordinary again. The villagers were disappointed, but they understood that honesty is more important than wealth. From then on, Rohini worked hard and made beautiful saris with love.
