The Magic Drum

Panicked, Kofi tried everything he could think of to defend himself and his precious instrument. He closed his eyes, focused on the rhythm, and let the drum's magic flow through him. To everyone's surprise, the python began to sway to the beat, its fearsome demeanor replaced by a mesmerized expression.
